| Awards and Educational Programs |
The Foundation supports a wide spectrum of awards
and educational programs including:
- The Berlex Scholar Award
in Basic Science Research, an annual fellowship award dedicated to
encouraging and enabling clinician-investigators to continue to work on meritorious
research projects in the area of reproductive medicine.
- The Berlex Scholar Award in
Clinical Research supports clinical research by young investigators in the areas of diagnosis, treatment,
and prognosis in obstetrics and gynecology.
- The Berlex
Junior Faculty Development Workshop provides individuals
with the opportunity to participate in a week-long intensive
workshop concentrating on epidemiology, clinical trial design,
statistical analysis, and skills necessary for publication in
the peer-reviewed literature.
- The Reproductive Scientist
Development Program (RSDP) is a national postdoctoral career
development program designed for young obstetrician-gynecologists who are committed to
careers in academic medicine.
In addition, each year the Berlex Foundation sponsors the C.D.
Christian Lectureship at the annual meeting of the Society for Gynecologic
Investigation. This award has made it possible for internationally distinguished
scientists to share their insights and experiences with colleagues in the area of
reproductive medicine.
